Hmm, nope, I just checked my harvesters, one of them had run out of power and was definetly not mining anymore. Just sitting there eating up maintenance credits like crazy.

oh.... so its not really out of power? its just SHOWING it has zero power?

ie: if i try to let it run for 2 more days eventually it will run out and stop working?

ok well this makes no sense whatsoever... i just turned my harvester off then back on. sure enough the power started displaying again, but it shows more power than i think i put in 2 days ago! 2 days ago i think i put in enough power for MAYBE 2 or 3 days.... now 2 days later it shows 3 days and change..... but its been running all that time!

so wierd...

not that im "complaining" too loud, free resources and all... but still.

I think you've maybe made a miscalculation and maybe put more power than you thought you did.

Anyway, there is a known bug where harvesters will appear to consume double their rate in power. If you put in 4 days of power, it will run for 4 days but if you check it after day 2 it will show zero. Just turn it off and on again to reset the display.

One important thing to know however is this 'display bug' will bite you if you try to redeed without reseting the display. The redeed will use the display value to caculate how much power to carry over. If you redeed while it's displaying incorrectly that false ammount of power will carry over and you'll loose power on the redeed.

In other words let's say you put in four days and let it run for three. You have have 1 day of power left. If the display reads zero when you redeed, zero power will carry over.

Yeah, I always flip my harvestors off/on when I check em, just to be sure.

Is THAT what's been going on ?!? I noticed the same thing, and didn't think anything of it. I also noticed sometimes when I changed resources, that the power would suddenly be good for, like, five or six days, but be zero the next day when I came back... I just figured different resources took different ammounts to mine or something. Guess I'll go power cycle all my harvesters to see just how much power they do have...

Harvestors will actually keep harvesting resources when they run out of power, you will simply have to put in enough to cover what was used after it ran out next time you put energy in.
