I want to sell an item but do not wish my player name to be associated with it. Is there a way to do it? I have seen it ingame, but don't know how it's done.

Factories still put the name on them. As far as I know you can't make anon items.

Hmm, yes. I'm curious (suspicious even?)as to why you would want to do this...?

Just a note: factories display the name of the factory owner, not the name of the schematic creator.

I have always prided myself in being honest and truthful. I just wished to buy a Lightsaber Crafting Kit from a Jedi (because I have zero interest in becoming one myself), but I noticed that Aryla has one in her shop on display that doesn't have a creator name.

The would be good, because another player has one for me, but I do not wish to compromise the jedi by having his name displayed on an item I intend on showing off in my mall (with other rare artifacts).

Having him create an anonymous 'creator' item guarantees his safety, which I promised never to divulge.

And why does everything have to be a scam? Has being a player in this game gotten everyone so wary that the first thing they think of is someone's trying to scam them?

I have been taken a few times, but for the most part, players have treated me with the utmost respect & I have returned the kindness to many others in need.

I urge others to do the same.

I could also see wanting to hide your name when you really do not want aannoying people asking you to do stuff all the time.

Sometimes I like to advertise, but most of the time I do not. I am rich and busy doing other fun things in the game and do not have time to stand around and craft all day anymore. If I could withhold my name it would solve this problem.

Also, people that like to tell me I am charging too much and want to bargin with me can just buy it or not and leave me alone. I really do not care if you are poor. I charge whatI charge. Buy or go elsewhere.

Overcharging hurts nobody as they are not forced to buy, but undercharging hurts all the crafters trying to sell something to make a profit.

Perhaps making it in a factory? And sounds like you are trying to scam someone ...

Aryla'smay have been an npc drop.

Personally, Ihave seen the creator tags on some items changewhen placed in a vendor. that would be acceptable (as it would havemy name,NOT the Jedi's as creator, thus protect their identity), but I couldn't get it to work when I tried it multiple times last night.

There has to be a solution to this...

Yes, essentially when youlootyou have just created that item without a creator's name. This is the only method I know offor creating an item without putting your name on it as the object creator.

Imola, my apologies. Perhaps we are all getting too cynical.

As far as a solution goes, however, I have nothing new to offer. Although perhaps you could find some work around the factory thing? Can jedi items be created in a factory? Perhaps your friend could create a one shot schematic for you to make in a factory owned by you, or someone else? Means a bit of a waste of resources though (i've no idea how expensive these things are to make).

Personal resolution: will try to trust atleast one person every day.
