question is in post. when can an artisan make weapons upgrade units? (at what level in the artisan tree)

WUK's can be made at the Novice Weaponsmith level.

Pretty much the demand for these requires a factory, not because they aren't being produced in large quantities, but because they're one shot deals and no smuggler wants to carry around 50 of the little buggers around loose. They like to see them crated.

You can make a barrel, a grip and a generic melee weapon kit as a novice artisan. Muzzle and coupler come with eng. 1, scope comes with eng. 2, and stock comes with eng. 4.

The problem with making good powerups isn't obtaining the schematics, it's obtaining enough experimentation points to max out the potential of each item. You get more experimentaion points as you move ahead in engineering and domestic arts.

How do you upgrades those weapons previously mentioned. I've checked the options available when using weapons crafting devices but found none for weapon power-ups. Please help...

Drag the weapon powerup onto the weapon.

Are you talking about Weapon Upgrade Kits or Power-Ups?

WUKs are used by Smugglers to slice Weapons and are craftable at Novice Weaponsmith.

Power-Ups are add-ons (100 uses) for weapons that improve the stats. They are obtained at varying levels of Artisan as stated above.
