Is there any benefit to consuming, or feeding a pet with,foodstuffs such as Starshine Surprise over the basic Bofa Treat? I make Bofa Treats from odds and ends left over from producing other things but would make the effort to make items found further up the skill tree, if it is worthwhile.

I should add that I'm not looking for a boost to stats here, just to keep me and my pet 'fed'.

If all you want is to feed your pet,then quality means nothing, use the scraps and leftovers, do not waste buffs on the pets as they do not gain from them. All feeding does is heals their wounds...
