Thread: Faster Factories!
Why are factories slower crafting than if you do them by hand? Factories should pump out crafted goods faster. Crafting is already agrindwithout waiting days for 1000 components to finish. I can't think of any good reason why they shouldn't be faster. We pay power and maintenance to get something that does what we can do only it does it slower! It doesn't make any sense.

Dont think logically about it...its a game mechanic...yes it makes it all for you, but it will be slower... One tip though experiment in larger chunks...each time you hit the experiementation button it ups your schematics complexity which means it will take longer in the Factory...
Actually, I've found that's not the case.More experimentationleads to more production timefor hand crafting (the tool takes about a second longer to spit it out for each experiment you do), but not factories. I was having some horrible luck trying to make a schematic a few days ago, so I just took the cautious route and experimented one or two points at a time. To my surprise, the time reported when examining the factory was exactly the same as when I did a run where the experimentation was done 3 boxes at a time.
It looks like the factory time is 8 seconds times the base complexity of the item, not the complexity after experimentation.
