I'm 4444 artisan, working on master, and my question is how important is overall quality.. really. i have some resources that have over 900 in 4 different catagories, but overall quality is like under 150... and on the other hand i have some resources that have an overall quality of 900 but the rest of the statistics are crap (under 175). Can someone please give me an indept overview.

Ok heres how it works.

If you check your schematics it will tell you what quality it needs for what. For example: look at your schematics and lets use the generic crafting tool. It will say something like: Durability: 50%decay resistance 50% overall quality. Effectiveness: 100% malleability. (i dont know if those are exact numbers, just using as an example)

What that means is if you want good decay resistance you need materials with good decay resistance and overall quality. If you want good eveftiveness you need something with high malleability(sp?)

Depending on how good of the resource you use it effects the base effectiveness/durability/whatever and then you can experiment from there.

So actually some items dont need OQ at all, other might have 100%OQ for something. It depends on what you are crafting.

Hope that helps
