Thread: My Craftin Session has ended?!?!

I admit I didn't look very hard to see if this is a common problem but I did not see it mentioned anywhere.

Here's the problem: I'm try grind out Artisan, so I have 4 Weapon, Droid and Generic Item Crafting Tools Hotkeyed. When I finish with the first one the timer starts, as we all know.

Now I move on to the second crafting tool that I have hotkeyed. If I'm still in the crafting session when the timer on a previous tool reaches zero, my current crafting session ends. If I've already loaded the resources I lose all loaded resources. If I've already hit the practice button and the timer on the previous tool reaches zero I gain no experience for the crafted item as the crafting session ends before the item is finalized.

I've /bug'd it and I've submitted a CSR ticket on the issue, however if anyone here can help me out I'd be very grateful.

BTW this only happens in Practice Mode.

See if the crafting tools have either no serial number, or the same serial number. If neither of those are the cause, try new tools. Or try a different schematic item. I seem to remember certain items causing the tools to do that.....

Well thanks....... it seems to only happen if the item counting down is a crafting tool.

The strange thing about this is that problem just started yesterday. I was crafting crafting tools no problem before then.

here's the solution to your problem man, sorry for the length of the post but I wanted to be very thorough in what happened so I didn't get numbskull replies like "you are trying to use the same tool, bla bla bla"

The skinny of it is that you can't craft crafting tools in practice mode on multiple tools. This is done by the devs on purpose, CSR ticket confirms it. It is total bullcrap, and has no benefit. The only people who like it are those who have this "elitist" attitude and believe that since they've been playing since launch that only they have the right to be masters of anything and hate to see newer players "power-level" to the same stature. I've been around since day 1 myself and find this lame attitude completely detrimental to the game, the more the merrier.

I had this same problem. The way i was forced to work around it was to craft with the first two tools. I would then let the next two crafting tools run and not input any minerals. (the first tool was at 6 secs at this point) So i'd let the crafting sessions end. then by the time I got to the 5th tool the first two were finished so i'd start adding minerals again.

Basicly: craft 2, skip two sessions, craft two, skip 2 sessions, etc

a real pain, but i wasn't loosing minerals when the crafting session ended.

They have no problem with entertainers powerleveling by macroing afk but they have a problem with this. The reason no doubt is it just wasnt quite slow enough and therefore not necesitating enough subscribtion time to master artisan. Just like the 10 minute shuttle waits that add so much to the fun of the game. It is increasingly clear to me that sony is not interested in creating a fun atmosphere to play in but are rather looking for more creative ways to increase the amount of timesinks in the game. This wont make a huge difference to a grinder who sits down on sunday afternoon and does artisan, but the person that plays an hour a night may take 2 months instead of 1 month to master artisan creating extra subscribtion revenue.

Funny, I dont have that problem on other tool types, only Weapon and Droid Tools. I always bugged it. I never heard that it was by design, since not all the tools do it.

Personally think it is stupid. If they wanted to limit that behavior, they should not allow you to open another tool, while one is still crafting.
