I can't find this in either artisan, chef or bio-engineer, I'd like to add them to my artisan food.

It's in the BE tree. They're not actually called light bio components, I think Multisaccharide Dimate is one, Micronutrient Supplement is another, etc.

Yes get them from a BE. We can make 3 levels of food nutrients - light medium and heavy and for each level we can make a flavor(duration) nutrition(strength) or quantity enhancement. I made a light micro nutrient batch with a 55 bonus on it and my artisan pal madesome jawa beer with a +19 point enhancment for maskscent - a BE's dream product for those naked dna sampling trips :-)

There are actually two parts: the "additive" which is made by the artisan/chef, starting at Dom Arts IV. Additives are not required in final food items. That additive requires the "food bio component" which you get from the BE. The bio components come in three sizes (light, medium, heavy) and can only be used in an additive of the same size. However a food can take additives equal to or smaller than the size of it's slot. So a food with a Medium additive slot can take a Medium or Light additive.
Just wanted to be clear, this has been causing some confusion with new cooks.
