Thread: Regarding Vehicle Customization

Perhaps it's just me, but I really think vehicle customization needs to last longer, the amount of times I store and pull out my vehicle during the day causes me to lose my colors too quickly, I had it customized last night and by today right after noon my vehicles customization had already disappeared. Make customization permanent, people will still be looking for master artisans to customize their vehicles because I'm sure they'll want to try out new color schemes, but with the way it is, having to go to a master artisan everday just so I dont' have to have the brown and red, just doesn't seem worth it

either that or make it so that it lasts for24 hours of 'vehicle running' use...that way it will last a long time, but still need to occasionally get touched up about every 2 weeks to month.

It fades? I did not know that. Well, I certainly won't bother with that money sink then.

I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

Once again I find myself saying:

"Sounded cool at first, but this isn't what I had imagined."

Bummer.

i dont think im going to bother with it, after i found out the droid storage unit IS required to make the paint kits which takes it away from the master artisans, to make the DE's have something to do ingame since they are still broken... not to mention the fast fade issue with the customizations, ill be dropping master artisan as i need the points soon for TKA, (which i have no doubt will be nerfd before long as well...in which case there wont be much left for me in swg.)

Yea I've already had people screaming at me cause of this. Color fading IMO is just stupid. Imagine if we had to repaint our cars every 20th time we drove them. SOE is obsessed with money sinks. I mean come on where is all that money going?

Wait I figured it out!!!!

Somehow SOE found a way to make credits that appear in game become real money for them through their computer.

I'd wondered about this as well. None of my personal vehicles have reverted or faded... but the non-artisans that have been using my excellent quality kits have lost their paint already. (I've received reports of 2 cases, so I'm sure there are more out there)

This is way too early. Several weeks at worst, but not 2-3 days of tooling about the planet.

Or is it just that sandstorms are really rough on the paint job?
