By trade im a combat medic and not an artisan, but i have lvl 4 surveying. My question is this: how can i find resources like class 1 radioactive and class 2 petro fuel when i can no longer survey for them. Isn't it a little silly that my character would 'forget', or no longer survey for a resource that he once could? I don't want to drop to a lower skill cuz i would have to build it right back up again for other resources. Is there a website perhaps that has relative locations on resources?

It sounds like the class 1 radioactive and class 3 petro fuel you are looing for has shifted off the planet you are surveying. The shifts are part of the 'resource game', which happen every 5-8 days for a given resource. It has nothing to do with your skill level. If a resource is not on the list, it will not be on that planet. It could be on other planets though. I hope this helps!

Yes, thank you, that does help. I was always under the impression that the resources you could gather was dependant entirely on your survey skill ( and the planet of course)

you could surender all your survey skills and keep novice artisan and still be able to locate resources but insted of surveying at 256m range you will only be able to survey for 64m range

Yes it will, possibly the site is out of date.

That is correct. If it exists on-planet you will see it in the survey tool. Bear in mind that the publish went live not long ago. It seems that alot of the resources resetted after update. At least alot changed on Chimaera, hence swgcraft might be a little behind.
