you couldnt imagine my joy when i qualified for survey 4. now i would be able to find those darn resources w/o hopping on the speeder, gas brake honk. now i am new to artisan so i was not sure what to expect.

im sad to say not much has changed. regional survey my ass. im still spending most of the day scouring planets only to find topped out resource spawns or suddenly the edge of the map. am i wrong? is there some secret profession where you get to survey a larger area? am i just that noobish? i dont know. most of it seems to be luck. oh well i still enjoy the hunt.

You did go into your inventory and use the radial menu to change the survey range on your survey tool, right? Regional Survey is 320m range, IIRC but you still have to set your survey tool.
