Is it possible to experiment on crafting kits?

What tool/Skills/Station would I need to have?

Weapon Droid and General crafting kit, and be near a public or private crafting station of the same type to use experimentation on kit creation.

Just my thoughts, do with them what you will.

You can experiement on crafting tools (be sure you are using a Weapon, Droid and Generic Item Crafing Tool - a Generic Crafting Tool doesn't allow you to experiment I don't believe).

With the right resources, a master artisan make crafting tools up to around +14 functionality - maybe higher.

However, all that said, I am not entirely sure what the functionality rating on the crafting tools affects. Some people say it reduces the number of critical failures, others say it gives you an experiementation bonus. A few folks have experiemented and found that any benefit, if any exists at all, is subtle to the point of not being conclusively noticeable.

But why take chances? It's a good idea to always use the best available crafting tool.

Hey does anyone know what type of stats the resources should be high on when making Lightsaber Crafting Kits?

Conductivity. Although you will never get your LS crafting kit as good as the best Weapon/General Crafting tools. Best I've gotten my LS crafting tool is -4 or something using copper with Conductivity of 992 and you can buy a +14.8 Weap./General Crafting tool on the bazaar.

Understand JEDI EXP (exp based on normalized kills)

Master Elite Prof 3,891,000 exp / 4200 exp = 926 Rancors for Master Elite anything
Master LightSaber 15,280,000 exp / 1000 exp = 15280 Rancors for Master LS
