The Hologram hting says if you're near a Station with thw apppropeite tool you can make dozens of the same thing real fast. OK, so, I use my Clothing and Armour Crafting tool next to, expermint with some bone amrour, and the make a schematic. Now ther's dis thing in my Datapad that I dont know what to do with and I'm out some rescources. Now what? What happend ot make dozens of the same thing in a short time? And will I still be getting exp for all dim?
Schematics are for factories. You can buy a factory deed from an Architect, for armor you'll need a Clothing Factory.
Schems work like this:
You make the item, just as you already did, then choose the "create schematic" option.
You can then choose how many max items you want to make with the schem (maximum 1000).
Now, you need to put the schematic in a factory's schematic slot, along with the exact same resources AND/OR subcomponents you used to make the item you made the schematic for.
As just an example, let's say you make a schem for a piece of bone armor (just go with me on this) and it requires:
16BlappablapAvian Bone
18Morkandmindy ScaleyHide
1 Awesome Armor Thingy (serial number 12346f4)
BlappablapandMorkandmindy are the names of the bone and hide you used. You must use the exact same resources that you made the schematic with, in your factory. You need 1 Awesome Armor Thingy with serial number 12346f4 to make the final piece of bone armor, too.
So, let's say you want to make 100 of these pieces of bone armor.
You'd need to put the following in your factory's input hopper:1600Blappablap Avian Bone, 1800Morkandmindy ScaleyHide, and a crate of 100 Awesome Armor Thingies with a serial number of 12346f4 (which also had to have been made in a factory, all components used in factory schematics MUST be identical).
So, you'd first need to make 100 Awesome Armor Thingies in a factory, then put those components in the factory's input hopper for your final run of Bone armor pieces.
You will NOT get xp for running items in a factory. But, the benefit of factory runs are that you can generate large amounts of identical items (so if you get a REALLY good experimentation on something, and have plenty of resources to make it, running a schematic "locks in" your awesome experimentation results - all items from the schem will be identical). You can also have crates of 100 items, or 25 items, or 5 (different things come in different crate sizes) and they will only count as 1 item in your house. For example, I have a crate of 50 Swoops sitting in the corner of my house as 1 item. If I'd made them all by hand, my house's inventory would have 49 more items reflected in it.
Anyways, hope that clears up stuff a bit.
for armor or clothing -- a wearable factory
for buildings -- a structural factory
for Food and Chemical --- a Food Fatory
for shipwright stuff and equipment --- an equipment factory
note that depends what you are manufactoring, you will need a different factory.

Yes like me!
