Thread: Macro Question...

I'm trying to set up a macro that will access the "Teach" option of a pet's radial menu, and then access the specific command I want to teach. Basically, I'm tired of having to bring up the radial, select teach, and select the command every time I attempt to train a command to my pet.

Here's how I envision this macro working, if it's possible. I'll target my pet, press the macro, andit'll do the following:

1) Select Teach from the radial menu
2) Select Attack from the command selection (or whichever command I specify)
3) Speak the verbal command (That's the easy part...)

Does anyone know how to put steps 1 & 2 into a macro?

If it can't be done, please let me know. This would make training creatures so much easier though if someone can tell me how to do it.

Where xx = any number 00-05

Over the next few days, we're going to be implementing a new system: forum rating balancing. We are aware that stars 1 and 5 have been overused by players, while stars 2-4 have shown little use at all. Our new plan calls for the gradual yet systematical nerfing of stars 1 and 5, resulting in an even playing field for our forum-goers. Thank you.

Let me start by saying hello and...Yes, i'm new to the SL profession.

My question is simple:

Is there a macro/way to make text appear in the chatbox, so i don't have to type out my sysgroup message.

Example:

I want to be able to QUICKLY throw in the chatbox: /sysgroup \#CC3333

And i know, i know...learn to type faster is the best way ..but anyhoo

Any suggestions/help would be most appreciated

It's not a macro but its how I got up the tree relatively quickly. I don't think there are slash commands for crafting, so I don't think that a macro can be written. Anyway, if you are lucky and can get your hands on a lot of metal and chemical just make general crafting tools.

1-Make a second crafting tool
2-Put both crafting tools in your toolbar
3-Craft another crafting tool (in practice mode from this point forward)
4-Before the timer on that crafting tool gets to zero finish crafting another tool with your second crafting tool
5-Repeat step 3-4

If you don't finish all the clicking before the timer runs out the second item is not produced and your crafting session ends. It happened to me several times. Each general crafting tool gives either 42 or 48 xp, i forget which one and there isn't too much downtime. If you're not lucky enough to find someone who'll help you climb your skill tree by giving you the material you could always find a few good deposits and use a survey macro.

Example:

/sample;
/pause 25;
/stand;
/pause 35;
/ui action toolbarSlot00;

Fiddle with the times so you can do this without draining your action stat. Hope this helps

You can get from Artisan 0/0/0/0 to artisan 4/4/4/0 in about six hours maybe less. I am starting to create a small outpost with a couple of friends and one of my jobs as the prospective mayor is to greet and basically train newer people up to higher levels if they are persuing my skillset.. Im artisan/architect/polotician..

I gave my friend the resources to create fireworks and WDG crafting tools for the first three levels of engineering and the resources to make the best harvestors he could from engineering three onwards..

The result of this little experiment was that he went from 0/0/0/0 to 0/0/0/3 in a couple of hours while setting off some nice fireworks displays outside the city and making me more tools to give to newcomers. After that he went to 4/4/4/0 in roughly the same time, a couple of hours, and I had alot of BER3/4 personals and BER7/9 personals to offer to newcomers aswell..

If you use a macro your just lazy.. Play the profession and do something positive, for the sake of six hours you are willing to look into obtaining a macro to AFK grind (or as close to) your professional skills away.. I personally think it would take you longer to research and implement a macro of this type than it would just to play the game.. I experimented on just about every item which I made on the way up and tried to make use of everything I could.. In fact out of I think the sixteen harvestors we have running to bring in resources all sixteen were made by the people in the city using this method.

But that's just coming from someone who has been there and done that, manually, and enjoyed it.
