Thread: Is there a way to tell how much longer before a resource shifts?

My bro and I keep setting up harvesters only to come back the next day and find the resource shifted and we have little of it. It seems like the resources listed on the survey tool window move location. Is this related to when they will shift? Thanks for the help with a newb question.

No way of telling I'm afraid. Best suggestion I can give is to track new resources using swgcraft.com. If you place them when the resource is fairly new then you're gonna get a good few days guaranteed.

The resources at the top of the list on your survey tool arethe newest. There's no telling how long until they're gone, though.
This only applies to the resource at the top of each category... An example:
- steel
- kiirium steel
- Steel A
- Steel B
- duralloy steel
- Steel C
- copper
- polysteel copper
- Copper A
- beryllius copper
- Copper B
- Copper C
In this survey tool example, Steel A is the newest resource. It shifted in after any of the other resources. Between Steel B and Steel C, there's no way of telling which was here first.
Copper A has been around longer than any of the other Coppers, but it shifted in after Steel A. There's no way of telling if it has been around longer than Steel B or Steel C.
Hope I didn't confuse ya. 
Basically, don't pick a resource close to the bottom of your survey tool or at the bottom of a list, say Copper C or Steel C in this example.

you can check swgcraft.com, usually tells how long a resource has been (usually takes about 6-8ish days for a resource to go out I believe)
