I have just recently purchased a factory. I placed it near my house. I paid my maintenance(5,000) added some Power(5,000) and started crafting. My first items were liquid components for Stim B's, next were Chemical components for Stim B's, however, the third item of Biological Effect Controller wont work in my facroty. It runs for a minute and then stops and give me an error. Problem is the error doesn't tell me what I am doing wrong.
I created a new schematic from the same resouces I uploaded to the factory. Still didn't work.
I logged off and loaded again with still no work.
Is there a bug with factories or will I just not be able to figure this out?

I started having problems with one of my equipment factories last night. I've logged a CS ticket about it, but figured I'd ask here on the off chance that maybe someone else has had this problem. It was running fine the other night, then when I logged in yesterday it wasn't running even though it hadn't finished my last run of powerups. I checked both hoppers - it has plenty of ingredients and room in the output hopper for new crates. I start it up, and after the time it would take for one item to be made, I get emails stating that it encountered an error and stopped at 0 items. The error is @system_msg:manf_error_7.
I've removed/replaced everything from the ingredient hopper and removed/replaced the schematic. I've also tried removing several crates from the output hopper. I still get the same error. I took the schematic and ingredients and put them in another factory to finish the run, and it's running fine - so I know it's not the schematic. I have not yet tried putting a different schematic/ingredients into it - I'll try that tonight.
I haven't redeeded yet - I'd like to avoid that if I can - I tend to take the items straight out of the hopper to sell on the bazaar, and I'm not sure I have a place to put 75 crates at the moment. I'm pretty sure that's going to be the solution though, as I can't really think of anything else to try. Have any of you experienced this before?

I've been having this problem on and off with my factory for a while. It seems to clear up for a while after the server restart, but keeps stopping and giving me that message, every couple days or so. I finally broke down and opened a CS ticket last night, I'll post here if/when I hear anything.

I've had that a couple of times. I found it only happens when the hopper gets reasonably full (maybe 70% if I remember correctly). I haven't had problems if I keep my batches fairly low, so instead of doing runs of 500 or more I tend to do 200 and then log back in to check and redo more if needed. One of the other things which may or may not work was I emptied my hopper once after the error and restarted manufacturing and it was fine. Before I emptied it I'd get the same error each time I restarted manufacturing.

The fix is almost definitely to take some stuff out of the output hopper. For some reason the "x/100" inventory space is a dirty lie.
See if getting the output hopper below 50/100 allows you to start up the factory. If you're tight on space, maybe use the input hopper as temp storage.

I am fairly certain that the factory Output Hopper is limited to 75 crates... I suppose it should be expected for a 1-lot building, despite the fact that it claims to hold 100.
But when I got this error, I had 75 crates in the Output Hopper. I removed 2 and it ran a bit longer, but as soon as it was up to 75, it stopped again with the same error.
I suspect the building changed to a 75-output limit at some point and the inventory window is just lying to us about the maximum output count.

That certainly is possible, as the output hopper had in the neighborhood of 70 or 75 crates in it. I'll empty it tonight and try it again. Thanks for the replies

Rofl, this made me laugh, I wish I had said that. Yes the hopper space is propaganda, do not believe it!

I emptied the hopper on the problem factory and it's back to normal now, thanks for the responses.
As to the hopper being limited to 75 items, if it is it's not a hard limit. I had 82 items in one of my clothing factories the other day, and it was still cranking out the crates.
