Thread: surveying xp issue
ok, so what happens when you hit one of those highly annoying 'you have found a rich source...' or 'you have located a ..' deals. is that what the ui action toolbarslott00 is for? i thought that just kept repeating the macro. i personally set one up like this
/sample
/pause 345 (to use up all action)
/stand
/pause 400 (to regen action)
/macro [macro name]
oh and by the way does anybody know how to stop a repeating macro without going in and removing the command to repeat.
It repeats the macro indeed, but when you get that annoying "found a rich sample" it will just "skip", and at the next run, you will keep getting samples (altough you will have a lot of "Rich sample" windows to close when you come back.
To stop the macro at anytime, either move the button to another tool bar slot (so the /ui action toolbarSlot00 hits an "empty " slot), or type /dump
Actually, after gathering the things for Chef, i came up with an idea. I noticed that if you do that macro, in the long run, by sitting/standing/kneeling, the character will eventually move. A small bit at a time, but over a whole night, you could end up on a spawn of red mobs (and come back with your character "sampling" in a clone center...) SO ![]()
I made an adjustment to my macro. I brought my mount with me, and told him to Stay. Then i scanned for the ressource. I added in my macro a /follow command (after the stand, before the sample) with a /pause 3 after... then selected my pet... and started the macro
So if you character goes farther than 30 meters from the pet, it will walk back to it, making it impossible for you to wander too far ![]()
Bah
Here, gonna give you the trick.
Macro this :
------------------------
/stand;
/pause 4;
/sample;
/pause 3;
/sit;
/pause 28;
/ui action toolbarSlot00
----------------------------
Then put this macro in the first slot of your tool bar. Go to somewhere with a good % of ressources, scan for it, then hit the button. Go to sleep, and when you wake up in the morning, TADA !!!! 10k xp !!!!
With a macro it took me an afternoon to grind my way to Surveying IV (max xp of about 34 for any one sample). I just kept checking back every so often to see if I could go and get trained in a level.
