I think making the second seat in the X34 Landspeeder functional would be a real hoot.

I usually hunt with one other friend, and it would be a lot of fun to be able to have somebody (or you yourself) ride shotgun with you in the same vehicle.

I'd think such a command could be done via a grouped ally. If somebody's grouped with you, then should be able to pull up the radial dial over your Landspeeder and select "Ride Shotgun" or something, and hop in the passenger seat of your vehicle. If it's your own vehicle, of course, you're only able to drive, so the command to get in the vehicle remains unchanged.

One simple command (I'd think), but a lot of fun.

Just a thought for the devs

Anybody have a comment on this? Has it been brought up before? I've been out for awhile, so I'm a bit behind

Well it IS the slowest vehicle - by far. Nothing wrong with letting a guy with a pistol shoot regular attacks from the vehicle...

But you're right, they'd call for a nerf ASAP - better skip it altogether.

So I suggest just making it for transporation purposes, and continuing to forbid attacks for those in/on a vehicle

Come on, it IS the slowest... why not make it a real bonafide two-seater?

Yep! I chose a speederbike when I had to make a vehicle for myself. It would have been a landspeeder if landspeeders could take passengers.

As for the other poster's comments about fighting from a vehicle... I think that a speederbike user should be able to use that blaster that sticks out from the bottom side of the speederbike.But since the blaster in question only points forward, maybe thebike should have to be pointed at the target to get off a shot... And I wouldn't mind if the passenger in a landspeeder could fight. Just give them the "moving" shooting handicap, and limit them to normal attacks, no specials.

I don't believe that Omegaplex meant the passenger could shoot from the vehicle. You might havethought that from the phrase 'ride shotgun'. But that's just referring to a passenger of a two seater like the X-34.

As far as passengers on mounts or vehicles, would be nice but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Heh ...

Well, I wasn't thinking anything on that... dramatic... of a scale. Just let somebody grouped with you use the radial menu to select "passenger seat" or something in the Landspeeder. Simple, and fun... and nothing so unbalancing as to require weeks of field testing

Just want the passenger seat to be functional. Seems so lame that it's there for looks... and making it useful for simple travel wouldn't unbalance anything, and would be a lot of fun. Getting there's half the fun, remember? Why not let a couple pals hit the road in their drop-top together?
