hi ppl,
just a question and a view.
is it true that u cant build a house within 1000 m of any city, as im trying to build a large house just out side of Bestine so i can trade and dont have that far to go to log out as 99% of my time is spent on Tattoonie.
If this is true while on earth do i see house and vendor way within the city limits of around 500 m of bestine, but if i try and build there it say i dont have permission so wat gives..

The "you don't have permission" message means you are trying to build in a player city. You need permission from their mayor or his delegate to place there, and you WILL be taxed.
"Building is not permitted here" usually means you are trying too close to a NPC city.

Hi I get the "Building is not permitted here" message when trying to place a wg in the city I reside at. The placement shows green and is on level terrain. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Yep, you are too close...I've had to go out what seems like 1500m from an NPC city before being able to place anything.

Hi there ppl,,,
Thank you for ur replies, ive solved the problem im not sure how but ive know got a large house place within 500m of Bestine, so instead of travel nearly 3000m away i only have to travel 500m kewl.. im so happy now i can become a vender / store.
still keepin my Lodge thou..
