Thread: Tipping 10k to can tell me how to get FAST SURVEY XP!
Personally, sssshhh, I macro'ed my survey xp while at work. Just set myself up and let my computer run. Find a nice high concentration of anything--the higher, the better chance of finding a sample at the lower level.Cause if you don't get a sample, you dont get xp!
Hope that helps
set your char on a high density resource in a safe place (ie within a city). Make sure your survey tool is set to the resource you wish to collect. Then run this macro while you're at work / in bed / afk and you'll be survey level 4 in a couple of hours or so;
/sample;/pause 10;/stand;/pause 50;/ui action toolbarSlot00;
Set the macro as a hot key on your toolbar and make sureit's in the right slot as defined by the /ui action toolbarSlot00; This will make a continuous loop. When you want to stop it, type /dump.
No idea what your ham is so the above samples for 10 seconds then rests for 50 seconds to let your action and mind bars regenerate to do the next sample. This is real slow - experiment with it a few times to bring the number of samples per minute as high as you can get it whilst making sure you regenerate fully otherwise overtime your action mind stats will hit zero and you'll stop sampling. Also bare in mind lag will have an effect on the pauses so you'll need to take that into account as well. The /stand command is there to regenerate your action/mind stats- you can add sit after that command if you wish to generate a little quicker but not that necessary. I never bothered personally, but some people like to do it. Just note that over time your char will edge backwards from repetative sampling and standing so make sure the resource concentration is high and and over a fairly large area.
Have fun!
I think this may be related to character race.I leveled a human to survey 4, and he slid backward like a madman. But I just leveled a Bothan, and he drifts forward. Not as pronounced, but definately forward.

Ifind that I tend to edge forward as I AFK sample, others say that they go backwards, so watch the macro running for a few minutes to see which one you are doing.
