Thread: Survey Missions.. What Resourse?
Hello,
I have been doing some surveying missions but it seems like it is hit or miss with them. The missions ask for gas, ore, metal etc.. but the problem for me is that it doesn't say what specific gas, ore, metal etc they are looking for. .. is there any way to find out what specific resource they are looking for?
The missions are a bit buggy right now...
For example, a novice artisan who is a pistoleer will get higher paying and more specific missions than a Master Artisan with no combat experience...
The easy missions don't pay as much, but they don't specify beyond a resource type. So for the easy missions that just say "Gas" any gas will do.
buggy.. I had a mission where the way point was inside of a building in Coronet.. when I surveyed around it I got no notification message that I need to move further out or anything.
Not sure what that waypoint was, these missions don't give waypoints.
Your mission says Gas, but it also says a certain % concentration you have to find. This spot must be at least 512 meters away from the mission terminal. I've found that aspect of the missions to work flawlessly, I survey in an area of 70% concentration and both my 70% missions are completed.
To the original question: It does not matter exactly what resource you sample, so long as it fits the category the mission asks for (Intert Gas, Non-Ferrous Metal, etc.), equals or exceeds the % requirement, and is more than 512m away from the person who needs the resource.
The best way to do these missions is to do some advance-surveying outside the city, and find resources above 70% that are 500-600m away from the mission terminals, then only take missions for those resources.
And yes, for some reason, folks with higher weapon skills will get higher-paying missions (I think that's a bug). The highest I've seen is 1800.
