I tried my first Atrisan survey mission, and I'm not sure how to finish it. I was suuppose to find any ore deposit at 55%. I found one after a lot of surveying. I mined a few samples. I was under the impression my datapad would notify the mission creator when I had completed it. I was watching for an on screen message that said my payment was deposited to my account. I never got a message, and the mission is still on my datapad. What do I do next?

All you have to do is find a high enough percentage. You don't have to sample any or take it anywhere. I have occasionally seen it not acknowledge an appropriate survey for no good reason, but it usually works. If it consistently doesn't, make sure you are at least 512m from the terminal that gives you the mission, and make sure that you can actually sample the resource. If the new resource "density too low" bug is in effect, then the mission system seemingly also won't detect the concentration. I think I also may have seen cases where I have to run down a higher concentration than was actually specified in the mission, but I'm not sure about that.

Yeah, you have to survey a location with an efficiency equal to the requirement. I also found that if I found one that matched the requirement, the mission wouldn't complete...I had to overshoot it by a few percent.

I thought we would get experience for these missions. All I get is money for it. I guess that solves the issue of artisans having to take up marksman to earn decent money on missions...
