Thread: Survey XP from Harvestors

I noticed last night that I have not gotten any surveying XPs since Sunday. I am running 4 medium harvestors yet my surveying XPs have stayed at 2500. Was thier a change in a patch some place that removed surveying XPs from Harvestor use?

Did harvesters ever give survey exp? As far as I know, they didn't. I could be wrong as there have been weird sources of survey exp (medical crafting gives a small amount of survey exp for some reason, for example).

I haven't checked lately, but I got survey XP from crafting harvesters way back a few weeks ago. Not sure if this was nerfed or not.

As far as I know they have always given survey XPs, since I don't really do anything else that will get my survey XPs except run harvestors.

Unless its changed recently (my suverying exp is maxed at 20k) you only get surveying experience from a sucessful sample.

No that can't be right since I have never sampled more than a handful of times yet I have Surveying 2, and until I released my skills so my friend could get a little apprenticeship XP I had Surveying 4.

I've never really noticed... I had Survey IV (and maxxed Survey XP) before I even started dabbling in Harvesters.

I agree - never really /sampled but got to survey II by using a harvester. Now that seems to have stopped

Think about it for a minute.
Why would you get survey exp? You've already FOUND the resource. 
Yes, I was at survey IV + 20k before I ever built a harvester...

My musician pistoleer got to Survey II by placing harvesters and never once /sampling.
You most definately got XP from harvesters before the patch. not sure anymore.
