Thread: Vehicle experimentation: what's it affecting?

What exactly does the SR of matierials and experimentation affect?

I can only look at one bike, so I haven't had a chance to compare yet.

I made two bikes. It appears that the SR of the ferrous metal makes the biggest impact. Using the same non-ferrous with high SR, I tried a steel with SR over 970, and got experimentation up to 95%.

Then I used iron at SR 914, and got experimentation up to 90%.

So does this affect the decay rate? Or maybe the hit points? You can't see a numeric value of HP it looks like.

Or maybe it affects the armor rating? Anyone know which?

Also, what do the armor ratings on the vehicle work for? Just the vehicle? Or do they apply to you, as if you were wearing armor?

You can't see the HPs on the deed (reported on TC but not deemed important enough to fix).

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

If anyone can get close to 100% durability and tell us wht the HP end up being we'll be able to determine what % get what HP. I have a 90% X-34 at 2850 hp.

How are you seeing the HP? Can you only see it after you generate it and pull it out? I guess you can mouse over the bar? I didn't actually think to try that last night.

you can guess from the % you get what the HAM will be once you have tested a bunch. I just looked at the HAM everytime i sold one.

My guess for MAX ham on them is

Landspeer: 3k

Speederbike: 2.5k

Swoop: I am not sure maybe 2k ?

I say this because I have been doing a lot of testing and asking around. People with 95% were getting like 2450 on a speederbike.. I was getting 2400 or 2300 on mine with like 91%.

the SR and the experimenting do effect the HAM on the vehicle (how long it lasts). You can see ham on a vehicle the same way you do on a pet when you click on it and roll mouse over the red ham bar.

check out the formula i've figured out on the following thread.

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=artisan&message.id=24295

it is a formula for figureing out the vehicles ham bar from the crafting experimentaiton % when u make it.

very useful

Change the above to the following:

You can't see the HPs on the deed (reported on TC but not deemed important enough to delay the publish, it will be fixed).
