Thread: Is the HAM on this hog important?
I was thinking about this last night what is the advantage of having a 2.8k ham ride vs. a 1.8k ham ride they both cost 4credits per unit of damage right? I went from city to city in tat and called my bike several times and the ham went from 2115 to 1600 ( this was about 2 hours of running around, the bike wasnt out at all times) before I finally figured out how to repair it.
So what is the advantage of the high ham rides, are there planets that dont have garages like outposts on endor? I can see having to go to a different planet to get your bike fixed a reason for wanting a bike with higher ham or maybe if it gets attacked it will last longer?
Can someone shed some light on this subject for me?
Right now, only the big cities have Garages. There are no Garages on any of the "advanced" planets (Dantooine, Lok, Endor, Dathomir).
And "HAM" doesn't really work, because there's no "AM", just "H". Call it "Durability" or "Condition". And if you prefer a Swoop, make sure you have a backup vehicle! Those things bleed to destruction awful fast.
And it is not just time qnd calling that effect condition. You may thing you have enough to durability to head from one location to another but that is before some creature agros on you and damages you vehicle.
Fun with Swoops....
I had a swoop that I crit failed the first experimentation try, so it had the minimum 1k hitpoints.
Took it out for a spin....a long one.....and jumped at the first explosion that shook my screen when the HAM hit 50%.....started looking around for the commando using grenades but I was in the middle of nowhere...
Noticed the flames coming from my right engine, thought it looked cool....
So I stopped and Im talking to someone when another explosion rocks the screen. She asks me what that was when I noticed that my swoops HAM was now 400 and the left engine was now aflame....
Can't wait to see what happens at zero.
