Thread: A driver's perspective

Problems (these only relate to the x34 I don't know about the others:

1) I now have 3 x34 landspeeders that I can drive around with no problem... One is parked at my house (I use it to buy groceries), another I'm driving right now (this is the touring vehical), and the third is tucked saftley in my datapad (I cangenerate it have have 4).

2) When getting shot on a vehical the damage does not display on the combat window (this may also be the case for melee damage).

On a side note, the tusken that shot me hit me twice, once to my action, the second to my mind. The mind shot incap'd me from full. Is the damage higher when on a vehical or was he just a good shot?

3) After getting knocked off my vehical (see #2) I could not get back on, this may be related to the storing bug.

4) When exiting my vehical I often get knocked out of range to get back in again.

5) I went to that dead Jedi's house on Tatooine and everytime I walked in the front door, I was sent back to me vehical (even when I moved it 20m away).

Other issues:

1) You should not be able to drive with a weapon in your hand (I mean a creature is fairly easy to control but a car...?)

2) When will I be able to order my purple x34?

3) Certain peope/professions are going to get burned (not a pun) simply by playing the game with a vehical. Bounty Hunters for example travel from planet to planet all the time and will (for a while anyway) be using the vehicals to chase down marks. But since the vehical takes damage evertime you call or store it (can't remember which) it going to be just one more expense. And before you start talking about how much a BH makes off the missions know this, we can spend about half that money on travel.

4) Also it would be cool (but probably a pain) if the turbines adjusted themselves base on what direction you were turning. So if you're going left then you get less power to the right engine, and more to the right.

5) This is more of a suggestion really: Autostore for vehicals when people are logged out, just like pets do now. And there should be a place to park a vehical (and mounts) in the city so that the starports don't get clutters, and institute fines for vehicals that are left unattended in cities for long perionds of time.

The graphics are great, I especially like the dash board! The effects for driving over the water... Great job! I think next to every garage there needs to be a car wash. This thing is dirty! These won't replace pets for a number of reasons, but I know they aren't intended to, and I like that too. All in all I have to say that the vehicals have been very well done. *claps*

Well, we are supposed to have just one vehicle at a time, right? I know you can generate infinite from the datapad, but thought those were unusable

The extra ones are quite usable. I left my first one on tat and generated a new one when I went to naboo. I drove around in the naboo one then left it parked behind the starport and then drove my tat one again. The Problem with Obi Ones house is something I experienced as well.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

You, of course, realize that this is a temporary effect that is sure to be nerfed soonish?

I hope so! Its nice to havea vehicle that will never decay, but not being able ot store them causes bad lag (starport parking lots...)
