Thread: Migration?
every few days i log in and find my harvesters have stopped and i have to restart them again.. i take it theres no way round this..
basically, when this happens i've assumed that all resouces randomly relocate/generate/disappear.. but from reading around people seem to talk about migration.. if i run around where i used to be will i find the same resource patch, to which i can relocate my harvesters to? I have survey IV so can see quite a high resolution view of the map..

yeah they move. and always just after you find the perfect spot.
you can either keep it there and se what apperss. or just re-deed you harvestor and chase the resource round the planet. i tend to just look for the best highest concentration of anything then get it.

how far do they move and how often? does the resource quality you get always change when this happens too?

yeah quality location, i think even planet maybe. they change quite often, but it varies. about 1-2 weeks i think. some stuff changes and other stuff might stay a while. you just need to check back, but if it just arrived then you know you can leave a harvester there for a while.
also i have found a bug where my harvesters stop. i came back after a week and thay all had 1 unit in them. so after that 1st one they turned off, draining all my maintainance.
regular checking is the key. once a day i do.
