How do we change the settings of our tools to get their maximum range? 'cause
I have tools set to 320m (I changed those settings) but my tools or at leaste one of them says it can be set to 384m but I have no idea how to change it to 384m cause the only settings that come up when I go into the screen to change the setting is... well it stops at 320m, it doesn't list any higher ones. Arrrggghhh!!!
ok
Oh yeah... I forgot to say I'm a master artisan so my skill with surveying is as high as it can be I think.

320m's the highest we can get - SOE just havn't updated their interface to the code (or updated the code to the interface, either way)

Stupid question but when you get improved range how do you change your range anyway? The only time I've been asked to set the range was my first time using the tool and can't figure out how to change it.

Open up your inventory, access the radial menu for the survey tool and you get a "tool options" tab. click on that tab and you can set the range that way

To change the range on a tool, I think
, right click on it or left click and hold on it to bring up its circular menu and... its on there... somewhere
. Its under tooloptions and then set range I think.

they really need to expand the range like 2 or 3x the maximum range now. sure its exciting finding your first couple of resoruces, but then it gets frustrating.

I asked this to the customer service people by a ticket in the game and they said (one of them said
) "Unfortunately I cannot provide spoiler information of this nature." and to ask fellow players about it or try to find out in the Knowledgebase in the holocron we have in the game.
