Maybe you need to do some advertising outside coronet starport, saying that you can teach artisan skill 4/4/4/4. Just announce it every 2 min or longer.

Hope this help.

Make sure you shout it about 80 times in rapid succession so as to completely drown out all other goings ons in the area...

And if no one comes, well, obviously they didn't hear you, so do it again.

due to the trial accounts (and everyone starting there) I can definatly recommend Mos Eisley, as I've been sent plenty of tells from there, asking if I can train them (usually when I am on the other side of the planet!)

Thanks guys, I was able to pick up 140 aprentice points last night, and not all of them through spamming every two minutes. I set up right next to the Artisan trainer and made sure to hit my macro if anyone walked up to him, got a couple of people that way. Listening for "Can someone train me in ..." got me most of my training points though. I even ended up training one of the spammers who was competing with me on Artisan training ;-)

I set up in Coronet initially, but I'll have to give Mos Eisely a shot later on.

Again, thanks for the suggestions.

AP totally sux. Ever try to get AP together as a droid engy? I taught my first two droid engy skills just the other day. Been master for a few months. I travelled across the planet to get to the guy, and he waited. He said he hadnt seen a droid engy in a long while and had two levels to go right away!

If it wasnt for guys in my guild dropping Scout over and over again I wouldnt have got it. Now that I've dropped Scout I'll prolly never hit master rifleman. I refuse to sit in Coronet and beg for training. It really doesnt look like a "fun gamey" type thing to do.

Crossbreed,

Mos Eisley is the best place to get AP (for me).

When I was trying to pick up AP for Master Artisan, I made sure my "Engineer" title was up. Some of the new people know how to do a searchand were able to find me when I was in the area. Since IhadMarksman and Scout skills I organized "newbie" hunt groups one afternoon/night and got max AP (1240) teaching non-artisans. I actually used this same method in another server and got max AP in less than 2 days.

It's a lot of work sometimes to show new arrivals the ropes but it's also alot of fun, a great way to make connections (some of the "newbies" are now elites that hunt with me on Dant), and with max APs without a single spam it's worth it.

I don't know if it helps but I also have "helper" and "roleplay" radio buttons turned on in the Character Search options.

Good luck,

-D

I neveradvertised my need for AP really. Like what was said, most times, I just listen for people yelling requests for training.

I did this from the start whenever I could. By the time I needed the points for master artisan, I was already almost theere...So I just went about my business with my other skills as usual and eventually, I had enough points to master. Funny, once I had the master artisan title over my name, I was getting /tells asking for training all the time. I had max AP since like the day i mastered.

I have always had the best luck when not spamming. I found just hanging out reading the other spam there were plenty of people looking for training. It is also handy to do /target <name> to find the person so you can jump on training requests quickly, then /teach to pull up the menu. Alot of the time I never even saw the guy I was training.
