Thread: Poll: Are Artisans Getting Hosed?

Please Answer A, B, C orD - whichever is closest to your opinion.
A. The developers seem to be giving Artisans an unusually large amout of time compared to other professions.
B. The developers seem to be giving us a fair amount of time, compared to other professions.
C. The developers are not giving us a fair amount of time, compared to other professions.
D. Devs, why hast thou forsaken us.

E: the devs have a whole helluva lotta crap to deal with. patience is a virture not many hold on theses forums. whine this whine that, nerf this, this combat class is too powerful, this one is too weak. address your comments in a more mature fashion and have some patience, SWG wasnt built in a day, and it sure as hell cant be mended in a day.

I'm all for patience as a virtue, yada yada yada. OK or:
E. The devs honestly do not have enough time to discuss any of our issues with us.

i can't really answer this poll, i don't have much of a feel for it....in my opinion all the professions need some dev love
just be thankful that you aren't an entertainer, they seem to be getting hosed more than anyone

In all honesty, although we have not seen much (any) personal attention by the devs (since I"ve been corre), I don't feel especially forsaken.
There are many other professions which are far more forsaken than we are: Smugglers (until very recently), Squad Leaders, all entertainer profs. We are not especially broken compared to others, so we are not as high a priority.
With the Jedi revamp (two publishes worth!) and the Jump to Lightspeed expansion, it's a wonder that anything not related to those two gets fixed at all. After that is the big combat rebalance. We won't see any real hard core overhaul of crafting and resources until after that, in my opinion. We may see fixes and tweaks, but I wouldn't expect anything substantial until after the combat rebalance.
Again, just my opinion. It's important to keep things in perspective.

I've never been good at multiple choice questions.
Maybe, the Devs arelike doctors and get to the ones that have more critical issues at hand. The squeeky wheel get the oil as well to resolve larger customer responses.
Hence, the Jedi publishes and (to get new players) the Space Expansion.
I think, Artisan is a (basic) stepping stoneto other Elite Crafting Profession(s) and not one to have alone.
Being both Master Artisan and Master Architect, I'm not totally clear what are theissuesthat would suggest Artisans are getting hosed.

I'd say somewhere between B and C.
Compared to the other starting classes artisan has gotten the most attention. Scout's been reduced to one usefull tree over the past year, marksman hasn't been changed much at all, brawler had one of it'sthree usefull attacks nerfed, medic hasn't changed much, and entertainer hasn't changed much. Artisan has gotten more positive attention then any of the other basic classes. (artisan has also received a share of negative attention alas)
Compared to jedi artisan has recieved little attention at all. But any class compared to jedi can say the same.
