I got survey I and it says it can increase the survey range. I went to the survey tool and selected tool options. Then set range. It still only lists the starting out range (around 64m). Anyone know how to increase this?

I could be wrong, but I think you have to go find a trainer to teach you how to do it.

Yes, when you gain surveying exp, Survey II I think, but I'm not sure. When you reach that point there will be new options in the range selection.

Well, I think it lied actually...

Survey I: Increases the effectiveness of your sampling. Gets you more bang for your attempt so to speak.

Survey II: Increases your range ability. After getting II, you can go to each tool and select 128m, which nets you a 4x4 square instead of a 3x3.

Survey III: Improves your success rate and amount of sampling again (at least that's what it said when I got it, haven't toyed with it yet as I got it, logged, and the servers are being maintananced now)

Survey III will give you 192m range, but still a 4x4 square. But Survey I definately doesn't increase the range.

Survey IV is around 320 and 5x5 square.

I'm trying to expand my range out. .been Master artesian since like day 3.. the other day I noticed in the Tool description it says max range 364m, 5x5.. but when i go to set range I can't raise it that high.. its somethgn like 320 5x5. I took some food and am now sitting at survey skill of +111, but still unable to set the tool to the maximum range the 'examine' window says it can go. anyone found the next cut off point for surveying.. or been able to get it the the highest range?

And it's it nice to be able to respond to a thread thats been dead for 1 year and 1 day!

Because if they don't then people who have a need to criticise blast them for not using the search tool.
