I tried to make a generic crafting tool using a weapon/droid/generic one. It's not in the list of crafting tools - only the specialized tools are.
Now the question is... How do I make a generic tool? Was it removed because it's not necessary when you can make the weapon one (i.e in the list, weapon/generic tool replaces plain generic tool)? In either case, just an observation.

Hmm.. can't edit my above post 
As far as i know you can only make a Generic tool with a Generic tool....

It's a bug introduced when they dropped the WDG tool back to just making WDG items (instead of being capable of making everything you have a draft schematic for). It should get taken care of in an upcoming hotfix (maybe the one next week where they change the BH skill requirements).
