due to the box's that pop up asking about do you wanna follow the concentration and do you wanna try extracting a strong sample, you cant really leave it afk.

The only way I hear you can do it, is to make a macro like the example below but I have not tried it myself:

/sample;

/pause 90;

/stand;

/pause 30;

/uiaction toolbarSlot 00

Have a play with that and see if you can get it to work, should get around the annoying box pop up.

This one works well for me, but you might need to tweak it a little depending on how your Action Stats are allocated, it gives me 4 samples (during the 90 second pause) and then I rest just long enough to recoup my lost action and it starts over.

Rich surveyors macro:
Don’t need a loping macro just sample
Hire a doctor
Have him set up a macro:
/enhance quickness;
/pause 113000;
/macro buff

Somewhat rich surveyors macro:
Don’t need a loping macro just sample
Hire a medic
Have him set up a macro;

Don’t laugh I am a master doctor and my wife started a new toon, I helped her on her surveying by buffing her quickness every few hours. You only need a quickness buff and you can sample non-stop with no macro, it is the fastest way to master the surveying part. If I were an artisan and wanted to master severing I would pay a doc for a quickness buff only don’t need the others and most docs will for 1k or less.

a simple macro to afk sample.

name it sample

/sample;

/pause 25;

/stand;

/pause 2;

/kneel;

/pause 3;

/macro sample;

what it does is allow you to sample afk, the stand breaks the need for a decision for the annoying box, the (total) 30 seond pause is about long enough to recover you action/mind before staring again, oh and make sure you take your armour off in a nice safe place to do this.

I can normally get about 5k of resources out in a session (sorry but I leave it running while I go to bed).

You really can't avoid that pop-up, but you can ignore it. I have left my sample marco on all night and dismiss the dozen or so pop-up messages all at once.
