I would really like to see the addition of these two things to the game.
1. The ability to create 'draft schematics'. These would be similar to the current schematics, but could be used with a hand-crafting tool. I could make a Droid Combat Module draft schematic, experiment it as I desire and save the schem. When I craft using this new schematic I would have to use the specific resources I used to create the schem, as well as serial # correct subcomponents.
2. A craftable factory crate. You would be able to store 'similar' items in the crate, and they would all be normalized. For the sake of fair play, make all items added to the crate the same as the lowest quality item added to the crate. We could then use the crate just as though it were factory produced.
With option #1 I could build schems of high quality subcomponents and then farm out the click-work to new crafters. They get the xp, and money. I get high quality parts.
With option #2 I could do the hand-crafting that I enjoy and still provide ( low volume ) bulk items to clients who prefer crated goods for storage reasons.
