Hey,
I'm now trying to become a weaponsmith, but since i'm a newbie, the only weapon i can craft is the CDEF Rifle (in addition to the pistol and carabine).
Anyways, since no sane person will actually pay for a crappy CDEF rifle, i was wondering if there is a way to make money using those skills i already have?
I know there is a junk shop which has an NPC vendor who buys junk...it seems that you can sell as much junk (such as fishing bait) as you want to him...
Are there any vendors like these who buy weapons, armor...the actually useful stuff?
Thanks for your help,
Andro

First, pick up all novice boxes you can. Second, start all the droid tutorials and do them. That should get you some credits and experience. Really, though, an Artisan doesn't have much to sell without Master (or 44xx and REALLY good resources), but you could always hire out as a surveyor if you level Surveying a bit.

I do sell top quality CDEFs on my Tatooine vendor (62 max dmg, 3.3 spd). But at 200cr each it's more of a public service than a money-making operation. Top-of-the-line survival knives and heavy axes too, the axes especially seem to be in modest demand. There are various vendors who buy clothing, jewelry or weapons, but only looted stuff (ie. you can't sell them your products.) They don't pay a lot.

It may or may not be worth the time, but you can alsoaccept "contracting missions" from NPCs in the University.
Use /find and pick "Guild Hall: University" from the list, there's at least one in most major NPC cities. The contractor stands at the bottom of the stairs in the entry hall. Talk to him/her, pick a crafting profession and a "difficulty" (determines what tier the item is picked from) to get a randomly generated job: craft X number of Y item, put them into a crate the NPC gives you, and drag the crate onto the contractor to complete it. You get a reward in credits (equal toroughly 2 cpu, not counting resources used incomponents) and xp (equal to 50% of the total xp gained crafting all the items).
The contractor picks a random item from the skill boxes you have trained at the difficulty you pick. I thinkeasy is novice + 1st row, medium is 2nd and 3rd rows, hard is 4th row and Master. The number of items is between 3 and 10.

1. Hint: Do the Helper droid Quests for all professions, free 2k per.
2. Hint: Do crafting Missions! As Example, you can do them from Mos Eisley to Anchorhead, get 2 Missions for 1.3k each and shuttle there (maybe 400 credits with ticket back), thats about 2k profit per travel
(and with 1 minute Shuttle time its even more easy than it was when i started (10 min wait) )

I recomend going into resource dealing. Buy medium mines and a fustion reactor. Set up a resorce vendor and stock it. As the credits come in upgrade to heavy mines and buy factories. You will need all this stuf anyway when you master weaponsmith. Also you can sell powerups and swoops on the bazzar.
On Radient a fustion reactor and 3 medium mines would run 200-220k. The above posts are good ways of rasing this startup capital. Use profits to buy more and larger deeds.

Hello,
when I was starting my carreer, I made gazillions of harvesters (3xxx Artisan) and sold them on the bazaar. I charged 1000 credits per extraction rate for normal harvesters and 500 credits per extraction rate for wind harvesters.
Meaning, a Mineral Harvester with a base extraction rate (BER) of 3 would sell for 3k, a Wind Harvester with a BER of 7 would go for 3.5k
They sold faster, than I could produce them.
try to get hands on a specialized crafting tool with a +10 or higher and have a look for a private crafting station in none of the player cities in your galaxy.
Please remember: skillpoints into the 2 row will let you experiment to far better results.
Yours,
Ipita
