Thread: should i grind fs xp with general crafting
I would not recommend it since it has the worst conversion rate of all the crafting professions.
I would suggest finding some other crafting profession to dable in for the improved conversion and significant exp increase over general crafting exp.
This is also an issue of cost/benefit ratio.
If cost is not an issue for you....load up on millions of units of 1 cpu resources for grinding swoops. Sit at the Village and macro Swoops on practice mode. It does not take long if your good at double clicking to max out your crafting xp. Jump up, turn it in, rinse and repeat.
Swoops are one of the fastest ways to get xp but the conversion from a resource cost perspective is brutal. But, you can pick up 10 million units of cheap grinding resources to make these pretty easily. When I first did this I also listed like 50 swoops on a vendor called "Disposable Swoops" and sold them cheap, like 10K each. This helped offset my resource costs but I found it too time consuming and ended up doing most of the Swoops on practice mode....extra xp and no filling inventory issues.
You know the sad thing is when they just changed everything around many of us got screwed on the FS boxes. Let me explain. My xDiggerx toon has all 4 boxes in FS Experimentation and all 4 boxes in FS Assembly. However right now he is a Master Rifleman and Master Ranger. In order to keep that combo post-CU, since they added a new requirement for Rifleman (Ranged Support in Marksman) I was 4 pts SHORT on keeping my two professions. You log into game, and POOF, you can't move until you free up pts...so I either had to drop Master Rifleman or Master Ranger.....or give up 4 of my 8 pts tied up in FS trees. Trees I spent hours on hours grinding through. What a joke.
In my opinion go live in a Research City for the crafting bonus, use Bespin Port (which now hasa timer on it instead of 1 drink/1 use), and forget about the crafting grind at the Village. It's not worth it and I was one who really promoted this early on......shame on me.
actually you get better xp of making personal harvester stuff on practice.. xp per resource used.
but, swoops can be sold and keept away from loosing the cash, as personal harvester wont..
and it depands on your server how easy it are to sells swoops(after CU, sell swoops at 10k with no experimention, think theese will fly away fast)
DE has both the fastest and easiest grind.
(1) Easy, less resource intensive. Advanced Droid Frames (steel + fibreplast) 1 ADF = 400 XP, DE caps at 240,000.
(2) Cap DE in 10 minutes using massive resources and factory parts. Adv. BLL Chasis = 4000 XP.
I groundout crafting trees w/o developing carpal tunnel!
