It appears the Assalt Bowcaster is as good as a T21. A Novice Wookiee Artisan now gains the ablity to make three kinds of bowcasters. Assalt, Recon and light. All require WS components, but the finial assembly is done using Artisan exp.

A Wookiee MA with some skill tapes could do well.
