I found it great that you can browse player vendors from the market but I think it needs to be taken one step further.
I assume that the backstory around being able to browse players vendors is that they broadcast to some signal to a central markets network and their wares are then listed on the world market. Would it not be conceivable that a portable tablet could also receive a transmission from this central markets network so that we could browse the market anywhere we chose. You would still have to go to the vendor to pick it up but you can make purchases from the tablet which would automatically send you an email with a waypoint to pickup the item.
Any support from the artisan community on this?

How about NOOOOO.
isnt it anough that you can go to any npc bazzar and see what everybody is selling. Now you want to do it in the middle of nowhere? What possiable sence does that make, either way you will have to travel to a npc city to pick it upexpecialy if its on a different planet.

So that if Im in the middle of no where or in a city I dont have to search 500 vendors to find what I want. I just do a universal search and find the item Im looking for, then travel to the city to pick it up. I think it would generate alot more business for artisans. I know I would buy more from different people then finding one person and sticking with them. I actually get very tired of flying all over the place just to find a poorly stocked vendor or one that no one has touched for 30 days and has still got the list bug as well as other things wrong with it. This is supposed to be several thousand years in the future I would hope we dont have to go flying all over the place looking for things still.

I don't see the harm in letting people perform the search from anywhere in the galaxy like you're suggesting. That said, I really don't think there's much point to it. Let's face it, between ground vehicles and JTL it is now possible to get from the most remote point on Lok to the most remote point on Yavin IV within less than 20 minutes. It used to take that long to get from Anchorhead to Coronet if you missed the shuttles. Additionally, since every planet has at least one bazaar terminal, you're never more than 10 minutes away from a terminal that will alreadylet you perform a galatic search.
Discussions of people being able to search from anywhere in the galaxy aside, they cannot under the current system allow people to buy items remotely. It leads to too many issues, the largest two being:
- What if I make a purchase and the vendor gets deleted before I've traveled topick up my item?
- What if there's no entrance fee on the building when I make the purchase, but the owner changes that before I arrive to pick up my purchase?
All in all, an interesting idea, but I don't think the devscould ever be convinced that it would be worth the time it would take to code.

Thanks for you insight and I see your point. Im not suggesting being able to buy from the tablet but just being able to search from it.
