I think it's the same resources for all of them but would have to double check (4units of chem, 6 units of mineral).


By the way those stats are based on general quick crafting(base average resources probably only 10pts) so take them as such please.


Just to give you an idea I have been messing with the ranged tactical grips and have achieved the following stats(the best that I've seen yet).


-27.05% speed/ -11 accuracy


or


-18.89% speed/ -0 accuracy


And yes that is correct an improved speed with no penalty. Now keep in mind that these are using all like 990+ resources and I'm a 14pt artisan. On top of that these both were double amazings. So it's possible to get good pups with the system but it will take work in order to get them. So far this is one of the few changes I actually like in the CURB. Artisan's now have a way to make good money, and good artisans have a way to distinquish themselves now as well.

I used Max CD resources, and not PE, which explains why my penalties are so much higher, but so are my Effectivenesses. I am a 10 point Bothan, and I figured you Humans could do better


My best stock ends up at about -6% action -1 Accuracy, and this is with near perfect resources, I mean 1K OQ and 990+ CD

I can actually hit slightly higher speed than you have posted there if I max the line, but I chose to stay slightly off the max in order to reduce the accuracy penalties, I think I hit around 28.8 if I max it. But the cap is ultimately based on resources, not on exp since I can easily cap either one of the lines. I think if I hit the 28.8 though I was right around -20 accuracy, and I just didn't like that balance, especially when I could get so close to the max speed, but cut my penalties in half.

What your hearing about are pups that are actually close to about 28.8% damage/ 25% speed or something along those line, where the numbers are so close that they can sometimes make the weapon worse. You get that if your only a 10pt artisan using only average resources(in that case pups literally are worthless). But if your looking at my list of pups I can get some that literally have no negative impact or very little negative impact depending on the pup. I have 14pts to exp with since humans get a +15 exp bonus, and I have a full +25exp suit. On top of that I am using top quality resources, and I have force sensative crafting. All of the schematics you are looking at are basically all amazing success on exp(at least 12 of the 14pts are amazings, which gives me the equivilent of 16 points of experimentation). For those that don't know 6pts amazing is = to a bonus that is the same as having one additional exp point. Since I have a min of 12pts that are amazings on these that gives me ultimately the same effect as having 16exp points when I craft. Several of these are showing all 14pts as amazings(the barrels with 21.02%damage and 1.31speed are 14pt amazings)

Sorry, this isn't covering the problem. Unless my math is too simplistic and missing some additional factors, DPS should not be reduced unless the speed penalty actually exceeds the damage boost. (Keeping in mind that the penalty and bonus are both percentages, not simply adders to some unknown weapon base values.)

depending on the resources and your skill, you can get penalties that are higher than the benefits, I can't explain what your referring to because you haven't given us any stats on the pups or weapons you were using in your example. IT IS POSSIBLE to get pups that have a negative impact.
