Thread: Serveying mods CA/Cloths do nothing for range?

As far as I know the survey tapes have never increased survey range. The only way I know ofto improve your survey range past the Survey IV box is to get the FS surveying tree.

there is also now be clothing to increase it .. but if i am not mistaken .. the survey tool from the village may be needed as well to be able to select an increased range ... i know the one i has .. has one more range selection on it then my other tools ... i have master artisian and +25 to surveying from be clothing ...

I had some ca sitting around and poped them onto some gloves and boots +18 to serveying. I just have novice artisan so I can find resources for my bio-eng stuff I make. I open a serveying tool and don't see a range beyond what you get at novice, with the next box in serveying being +15 I have +18.
Any info on if its broken or just doesn't work and never did...

Once you have Surveying 4, you cannot increase your range with skill tapes or BE clothing. Only FS skills will add onto this. I have tested this several times, with different characters, same results.

Did you try changing the range on the survey tool??
I used to have surveying boots and when taking Chandad, I could change the range on the surveying tool.
