If I place a wind generator and nothing else, does it create some kind of power resource that I can use later or am I just spinning my wheels and spending money? If wind generators do not create a power 'resource', how close do they have to be to the thing they give power to? I guess the question could be, "How do power generators work?"

They collect 'wind' much like a mineral harvester could collect 'steel'.

You have to pay maintenance into the machine... but in return you get the resouce that you can use to feed your other harveters power... definetly worth the price
