Artisan Archive

I started playing an artisan character shortly after launch.My character is amaster artisan and pretty far alongtowardsmaster weaponsmith. It has been an extremely fun ride, despite all the grinding. Unfortunalely, I have to put my artisan into semi-retirement. Why? I just don't have enough time to keep up with the demands of being an artisan.

I have a lot of RL work and family committments. I am finding it harder and harder to log on regularly enough and long enough to tend to my factories and harvesters, keep my vendor stocked and keep my customers happy. This is especially hard in the weaponsmith tree, where weapons sometimes require very specific resources, and the hunt for resources can become all-consuming. Just when I think I have it all together, my RL boss sends me to New Jersey fora weekon short notice, and by the time I get back, all my harvesters are sparking and burning. Not good.

So this week-end, I shut down all my artisan'sharvesters, re-deeded his house,parked him in the center of Coronet and logged off.I created a combat-type character on another server, and I am having fun getting him started. If I am unable to play for four or five days, there'll beno problem. I'll miss making stuff, but when I do, I can always go back to my artisan. I'll definitely miss my big, fat bank account.

So if you're a crafter on Lowca, look for a noob scout, marksman and aspiring ranger named Gax. I might become your next best customer, as soon as I destroy enough paralope lairs topull togethersome credits.
