I'm in a skill point crunch and working towards weaponsmith. As far as artisan skills are concerned, I have 4-4-4-4. Will master artisan get me anything worthwhile? I don't think you get more general crafting assembly mods or experimentation points for that matter. There are some new schems you get. Are they usefull for anything? Do the optional components for repair kits help at all? Without getting any new crafting mods, I have a hard time justifying the skill point cost. What do you all think about this?

For me it was useful since a MA can make some of the electronics that a DE needs and that's where I was heading.

Yeah, it's usefull for making lots of Torches.

One of the master artisan components (control unit?) is used in the vibro blade unit, that is a component of vibro blades. So if you want to make melee weapons it will be handy to have master artisan. I'm not sure if any of those components are used in the firearms branch.

You are correct - only thing that is given at Master is Clothing Customization +55.

All of your experiementation and assembly points you will already have before Master Artisan.

MA has it's uses. The MA only pars are needed in a lot of other professions' items. The biggest example is DE's. Crafting Stations, from the Architect line, use MA parts also. I've kept in business being a Master Artisan for quite some time now. The DE's are my bread and butter, and I'm never hurting for work.

I'm almost master, have 4-3-4-4 and just want master so I can make torches. That's the only use I can think of.
