If you just put a /stand; in your macro after each sample, then you will ignore the popup boxes. Just set the pauses to use up about 30 seconds between samples, and you will still sample just as much as you would without the stand.

There should be a "close" button if you're manually sampling. Although if you'll read the message, it's not a fee you pay -- it takes some Action points (your green bar) for the effort digging, but it regenerates quickly and there's generally no reason not to do it.

Here's the macro.
/ui action defaultButton; /* to close the pop-up boxes
/sample; /* start sampling
/pause 30; /* wait 30 secs
/macro sample /* to re-run the macro again

Here's my secret. I did this when I was a nub artisan on my first few days. It helped me to afk survey overnight. You do the usual surveying parts, but... to avoid the popup box, put a roll of dimes, pennies, or something similiar on your "enter" key... something heavy enough to hold it down. The downside to this is that you have to keep the SWG window open at all times.

another way is to start sampling and read SWG forums and check if any popups every 2 mins... it got me to third box lol.
