Thread: Multi passenger Vehicles on Strike!

If these rules for Multi-Passenger Vehicles go through, then I will no longer craft and sell the multi-passenger vehicles, but will make loads of Swoops, and sell them for 1k (1000) credits each, making them virtually indespensible, so people will not have to worry about hitching rides (which may not be able to do anyway with these rules) to save wear and tear on their own vehicles, or need not worry too much when leaving swoops out when doing missions

I will continue to sell them individually as crafting for XP to FS crafting XP, but once all FS crafting got, will start doing them in crates, and if rules are still in effect, will even sell full crates of Swoopsfor 1k too!

No news is bad news, going by SOEs track record.

I suspect that Trader/Enteratiner will end up being worse off, and they're not saying anything, as people will quit because of it.

I'm going to quit when the sub runs out, and return if the revamps are worthwhile, unless knowledge of the revamps come before subs run out, and I like it, but I'm not going into day 1 of the new month, then the revamps get announced, and my char is shafted.

Too bad you're not on Gorath.
I need a wholesale swoop supplier.

At 1k each, I'd take 'em as fast as you can make 'em.

Seriously. Reselling at a 1000% to 2000% profit sounds pretty good to me.

No one would be buying them as they'd be buying from me, also if I spot any excess puchases of swoops (indicating the intention of reselling), or any vendors reselling my swoops, they'll be banned!

I know. Makes me want to start a character there and get quick funding.

That's a better profit margin that I'm getting on Gorath.

and what exactly is your issue with the new multi passenger rules? It's not like it's gonna cut into your proffit any.

The rules are stupid and unnecessary. Not many people will buy the multi passenger vehicles now, and the rules also make the game less fun forthose who want them.

I have always.. and WILL always .. use an AV-31 and a V-35. They're too convenient , no matter what rules get implemented.

If you're on Corbantis, I will be a regular multi-person vehicle customer.

Hmmm... if you're going to sell swoops at 1K each, you'd better have quite a few resources. Entreprenurial players will buy up your stock and store 'em away, either to profiteer or to keep you from devaluing the swoop market.

I figure at least one player on the server would be willing to spot 100K a day to buy swoops, assuming you made that many. 100 swoops is 800k+ of metal... quite a lot. I probably could average ( with decent placement ) 25k of resources per harvester per day, so it would take a mere 32 well-placed harvesters to supply you with the metal for your grinding.

I could probably raise 100k per day just running Bol missions for three or four hours with a grinding group on Dant, so your swoops wouldn't start appearing on my vendors until you'd given up on the venture or I'd run out of storage space.

Causing massive swoop price deflation is going to be *very* hard unless you can convince enough other master Artisans to join in your quest... and even then it's doubtful you could keep profiteers down.

lol it'd not be hard to get money.. I made a new char the other day, they start with like 50-75k now.. it's nuts.

And I'll be honest with you, since I re-opened my shop a month or so ago, I've yet to sell a mutli-passenger vehicle..so I'm not worried about it. But I did give one to my combat gal My only complaint with them is that the biggest one holds 7 people, when max for groups is 8.

While you are allowed to ban people from your establishment, SWG has a free-market economy, and thus there really is nothing wrong with reselling.

I'm still uncertain whether I'll bother, which is why I created this thread, to find out responses, my main intent is to sell to the public, and let them have cheap swoops, but if people are going to resell them, then I'll either have to ban them for buying any, or not bother selling it that cheaply at all. Or just shove them up on vendor and see what happens, will be intersting for a short period of time anyhow, plus I'm not going to put loads on vendors straight away, will only make as many until the general crafting xp caps, go and do some combat grinding with my CL 80 guildies (boy its slow being CL 5!), then off to village to exchange xp, then back to craft more swoops, then off to grind combat etc. So could get tiring/time consuming/long windedfor anyone trying to buy loads to resell, as vendor could be empty (from someone else reselling them who got to them first), and profits may not come in as fast as you like then people may give up trying to make a profit this way.

It also depends how bad those rules are, if they're not that restrictive after all, then may not bother anyway

I suppose that is one good thing, it will make people create chars on Valcyn, which happens to be the best server for stability, also the FS Village phases shift first on that server too, which also proves that Valcyn has had the less down time

I've been collecting metal all year! 800K pfft, thats peanuts compared to what I burnt at the village, during x2 week I sat there all evening on the last day grinding by practising on X34 Landspeeders, my inventory and backpack was full with metal so was no room to actually make any vehicles.
