Two recent things that people have been discussing might be of interest.. Was looking at the latest patch notes on test bria

TC-Bria
Version 0.128207

Misc

  • Players are now able to craft the tumble blender.

TC-Bria
Version 0.128006

Crafting

  • Agitator motors used in recyclers can now be crafted properly.

I'm somewhat new, but maybe someone could explain to me why recyclers are so great? From what I understand (which very well could be mistaken), they take a given resource (like ore) and put out another resource with the same classification but with all stats set to 200. Is this right?! If so, why are they useful? I'm sure there's a good reason, but for the life of me I can't think of what it is.

one reason these can be useful is so you don't waste the endless small stacks of stuff you end up with. so 20 different kinds of metal can be turned into one big stack of smelted copper for example

for certain professions and products, whats important is quantity rather than quality...like many things for archictect for example.

that and they like kinda cool

Personally I can't wait to get some of them... as a tailor my resource quality does not matter, yet I am often finding myself with small stacks of hidethat I hate to throw out yet rarely use. I could toss them in the recycler and end up with 1 stack of hide all the same type. Same could be said for chemicals as well.

Yes for a lot of professions recylcing them wouldseem wasteful, but there are sometimes when the quality isn't going to effect the product.

Its handy for Milk.

A friend of mine is a BE/Chef and for some of his stuff the stats don't matter, but he needs a lot of it. He usually has to pay at least 40cpu to get milk and I guess he never gets enough of it (I used another friend's recycler to combine a backpack full of 1-2k amounts into 2 nice big stacks).

Ahhh, thanks (and to the other posters as well). Most of the stuff I've crafted has depended a great deal on resource quality, so I just didn't think about those things that don't. Now I want one myself...

I've got the Chemical Recycler Schematic, and need to FIND the Mineral Recycler schematic. I desperately need 1 of each for recycling materials to grind Shipwright with!
