What do you do when the game gets boring.

With my combat char, I did all the theme parks, swapped factions, did quests, and finally when the ultimate bordem set in I created another account (this one) and started crafting. I know that the bordem will subside at some point, but in the mean time what does everyone else do, crafting wise, when they get bored. I would love some suggestions, thoughts, comments, or well anything to find some fun in the game again.

Thanks,

Kothel

I've found the best thing to do is get small groups together and set challenges for yourselves, have an intraguild war, capture the flag, scavenger hunts etc. The people who participate usually have a good time with it.

that's exactly what i did when KOTOR2 came out for the xbox.

and 2 weeks ago i was getting bored again, so i took a break, and went through and played KOTOR2 as a super-dark jedi instead of super-light jedi.

I'd suggest going out with friends and do the usual real life stuff. It never gets boring.

Always amazed at people that think the game gets boring. There's content all around, it's just not thrown at you like some games.

Having said that, I would like more content for the crafting communities. I think I'd have a party if Artisans could make signs!

Mostly I was wondering what crafters do when the game gets monotonous. Of course I'm with the real life comments. When the game gets that bad, I go wrench on my mustang.

I've been picking up different crafting professions trying to see if I like one more than others, but you got to admit that the grind gets old, and if you don't "grind" then you get kinda bored trying to find something to do. I mean how many times can I click the same boxes over and over again. If I put stuff in the factories then I just wait around. So yeah sometimes the game gets boring. I do have a combat char, so I switch back and forth, but I know there are a lot of pure crafters out there, and was just looking for some other interesting suggestions, from a crafting point of view.

Want non-stop activity? Start a guild.

Other than that, I really like to find things that involve a lot of people and do those. No, it doesn't deliver immediate satisfaction, but it does make a lot of friends.

Even hunting meats or hides becomes a community activity and making those communities is the bulk of the fun I find.

You've got to use the tools of this game to make the experience. One of the strengths and weaknesses of SWG is that people are expected to learn by exploring everything. I think highlights of things to do in the game should be more evident on a regular basis for all levels of play. Something like that might help out the people that have done everything.

I have a station pass so have EQ1, EQ2 and SWG's but I tend to go to TC-prime when it's up you can have 3 char's there and 6 if you have 2 accounts. (yes I do write bug reports)

I suffer from MCD (Multi-Character Disorder ).

This is why I loved being a combo combat / crafter pre-CU. Too bad the CL system ruined that.

Yup. Particularly with the MBE. It irritates me that I can never reach CL80 as a MBE. When an agro is based upon my level, there is nothing I can do to lower agro potential enough to go after the crazy hard DNA samples.
