What are you actually trying to put in?
Bioengineers craft "tissues" (I'm not sure if there's an actual in-game name for this class of items, but that's what the community has standardized on). Their "light" ones for food are Micronutrient supplements (most common, gives a Nutrition bonus, boosts buff size), Hyper Yeast additive (Quantity bonus, boosts stack size), Multisaccharide Dimate (flavor bonus, boosts buff duration), and Carboreductive Catalyst (filling bonus, reduces filling).
These by themselves cannot be added to a food. You need to make a "light food additive" (learned at Domestic Arts IV) using one of the above tissues and 10 units of water. Water quality doesn't matter, the additive's stats are based solely on the stats of the tissue.
Light additives can only take the four tissues listed above. "Heavier" tissues like Broad Spectrum Nutrients (medium) and Intelligent Nanonutrients (heavy) are used in medium and heavy food additives (learned in the chef profession).
Once you have a light food additive, you can use that in your Spiced Tea.
Chef foods have slots for the medium and heavy additives. A light additive can also be used in a medium or heavy slot, and a medium additive can also be used in a heavy slot, but you can't use an additive in a "smaller" slot.
Hope that helps.
