Thread: Now What?
I know it's been offered already in this thread but the answer is definately 42. What does forty-two mean? Well, it certainly is 6x7. But it's soooo much more. Really to answer the question of "What does 42 mean?" you would need to build a super computer that could accurately predict the path of every grain of sand on a beach during a hurricane. One even more powerfulthan that. Actually you would need one withTHAT kind of power to tell you how to build the one you'll need. It may take awhile for the first computer to work through this equation so you may need to set up a special orderthat, for thedecades--nay centuries--required for this equation to finish, they will alwaysbe waiting for the answer. The answer to the question "Why is 42 the answer to 'Nowwhat?'".
After all that, the answer to the question will still remain 42. We'll just understand why.

I am sure this has been answered before, but I don't read the boards much and the search seems to only want to return items from October... and yes, I did try rearranging the results by date...
Anywho, I finally find myself within 40k XP of Master CH. I have been getting by on Maulers and GSP's. Even since the nerf. As a matter of fact I didn't really pay much attention to the nerf, although I did notice that the maulers are nowhere near as cool as the once were. And I have heard that Bio Engineered pets are the way to go now.
Is this true? Is all the hard work becoming CH for naught? Is it pointless to tame wild critters anymore? With vehicles in place no one uses mounts anymore, and with BE's, what are we even in the game for?
Any advice or comment is appreciated.
All I have to say is that BEs are finally getting some loving. Please don't start hollering nerf.
Knocky, not calling nerf, so untwist your panties please. The only thing more prevelant in this game that someone crying to nerf some other proffession is people accusing others of crying nerf.
The 2nd poster has a point, BE's can have their love, since I am **edit** near master, it just means I can use the stuff they make. Shelling out my limited creds for pets is a bit annoying, but if the BE's last the way my tamed ones do, it aint no thang...
What I am really asking for is some guidance on how the CH's are to survive and play in the new environment.
Unless a BE has CH, they can't call or train the pets they create. I use a mix of both BE and wild; the BE's cost about 1.5k per CL, which isn't bad. I try to balance the pet against the opponent. Not a lot of pleasure in it for me to send in a lvl 30 against a lvl 15.
I don't want to nerf BE's; I think they're doing ok and the price gougers will fade away with supply and demand.
BUT, I would like to see CH's allowed to have a vendor and sell pets. You grab a baby, from either the wild or a BE, train it, let it grow. Why can't you then sell the adult? There's a value add that CHs can't take advantage of...
WITCH! Burn the witch!
