Well the majority of the people that have posed and polled dont think there is an imbalance.

If there is an imbalance certing, a selected group of people is not the way to go about it.

If there is an imbalance it is more easily taken care of by the global changes in the way resources spawn because that can be altered back if they go too far.

Well you mistook what I meant on multiple accounts, what I meant is those that have multiple accounts the vast majority have one.

These resource barons that you speak of with 400 and now up to 630 lots are few and far between and are the exception and not the rule.

In the post hologrind economy these will be the first to slow down mining because the maintenence cost vs return just won't be there.

In fact I'd think that buying resources from others as a primary source of resources is quite intended.

You are correct that was the original intent. And in the dev's original vision a Miner class would mine and refine resource and make alloys like aluminum and such. But in beta that did not work. It was deemed boring, hard to build content for and would cause a nested dependency on all crafters.

My take on the post holo grind economy is that may give crafters the option of not mining because more resource could flow into the game at a cheaper price. Resource vendors if they are selling at 3 cpu are making a 600% profit or more which is more than enough.

Many of the issues will go away or at least lessen dramatically on their own just simply because in a post holo grind economythere will not be as large of a market.

It is all speculation since we dont have exact numbers from SOE. Not all economic rules in RL apply here since these games are usually a fawcet/drain economy

It doesn't look as if you would have much trouble with my proposal actually. Most folks who run elite crafters end up (and this is pure conjecture) with another account to experience the combat side of things as well. At least this is what I see from personal observation, n = 10 or so.

This doubles the number of lots they have available to them either on a current per-server basis or on a per account basis.

The trick is to have one elite crafter and one combat type per server with the two accounts. And this is what I see most folks doing.

What a change like this would mean is that you wouldn't have your doc holding a med center in a player city if you had two elite crafters on that account so you would have available lots.

I actually expect my lot use to decline as I cease to be such a newbie. Once I have enough power, I won't need to have my fusions out all the time. And I will probably only harvest resources I need or can get an amazing return from.

my lot usage numbers went way up last night, i took all my harvesters down for fanfest, and hit all the new spawns yesterday

i would have trouble actually just knowing how much resources i am running through to keep the factories going. even my master smuggler has to hold her own, molecular clamps just don't stay put on the vendors no matter how much i raise the prices, this is why the harvester certification idea hit both my doc and smuggler hard, no way i can do these without heavies and no way can they even get to the good spawn spots without combat skills, hence neither are MAs. and this doesn't even begin to cover what my weaponsmith goes through and heis a MA

anyways, if all city buildings were made to be lot free and if the lot costs on houses and guildhalls were reduced then i can see reducing the numbers of lots per account but again this is going to be a big ugly point of contention, and this is not the only means by which cross-server lot trading could be controlled. i will reserve final judgement for when the dev's do decide to act and give my opinions in that context.i don't know how well it will go over game-wide, the uproar in the room when hearing the words "remove administration rights on harvesters" was pretty impressiveat fanfest. .
